Okay. We all have those days right? Where you make plans and you have the best intentions but when it actually comes so far, nothing goes right. I sure do! Sunday was one of those. I dressed myself. I thought "Hey, why not take outfit pictures?". I got my boyfriend to agree to take the pictures (miracle these days). We even drove to a location that wasn't my backyard (second miracle). Then I realized I didn't do my eyebrows. I rarely wear make-up but I have developed the habit of filling in my eyebrows and I already feel naked without it. So I knew it was gonna suck. And suck it did.

I simply could not figure out how to 'pose'. And when I did something, my boyfriend said it was fake. Well then. Here is the result! Don't worry, we had lots of fun though! We just played around and laughed. And you know what, I'm so lazy I will not put on the same outfit and go out there again. Plus, I really liked my nails and I already took it off. So this is what you get people! Not ashamed, BYE.

Arthur has arrived

I don't know why but he looks bigger here than he is in real life. He's still so freaking tiny! 

Saturday was the day I could go pick up our new kitty. I drove off with my boyfriend in the morning and we were there by 11pm. I was so excited to see him again! It had been a month and he had already grown so much. The woman we bought him from filled out the paperwork, gave us some more info and that was basically it, we could take him home! She did tell us that he was kind of a rascal (which has proven to be true). So we set off for the hour and a half drive home with him. He was so sad in the car, he cried almost the whole time. I felt so bad taking him away from his sisters, brothers and parents.

When we came home though, he saw our first cat Laila and he immediately stopped crying. I guess he was relieved there was still some company. One hour later and he was feeling totally at home. He was playing in our couch, exploring different parts of our house and taking regular breaks to eat. But.. Laila wasn't so happy to see him. She treated him like an invasive intruder and kept hissing and growling all day long. She didn't let him out of her sight for one single second. And Arthur was so sweet. He kept trying to make contact but she just wouldn't let him.

Sunday (so the second day), she was kind of tired from hissing all of the time and only did it when he came too close. He kept trying though and after a while she just kind of slapped him to get him away from her. He took this as a sign to play and tried to grab her tail. She turned around and ran away. The first time she didn't keep an eye on him! It was funny though because after a while she came back and they just started playing.. So sudden! With the occassional hiss from time to time.

They play rough!  

Monday evening, we caught them for the first time just laying next to each other. And later in the evening, Laila started washing Arthur . I was so glad! It's now Wednesday and they're already freaking inseparable. They do everything together. Sleep, play, eat, go to the toilet (I swear, they take turns and then go back doing whatever they were doing). He totally thinks she's his mother because his tries to get milk from her. After a while her belly is totally red but she just lets him and licks him while she's trying.

I'm really glad with the way things worked out (and so freaking fast). Laila hasn't cried one single time since he's here while she used to every day while we were gone (neighbours could hear it) or when she didn't get enough attention. And the fun part is that we didn't have to give up any cuddle time with her. Now it has just doubled with the little one here. They're adorable to watch. I'm glad Laila finally has a little friend and that Arthur feels so at home. While I'm typing this, he's sleeping between my ribs and arm and she's on my legs. Oh and by the way, these pictures were taken in the same ten minutes haha.

Motivating Monday #27

© Another week means another collage of pretty clothes. I promise, I only looked at this webshop. (Even though I wouldn't have minded dropping some things in my cart. I guess it's easier to buy something in real life without feeling so guilty haha.) I have to say though, I kind of dislike webshops that only have model shots and no clear product images. But it is good for styling inspiration ofcourse!

© I'm sure you've all heard about this website before but still I'm going to mention it for the ones that don't know haha. This is why I'm broke. Lots of crazy/weird inventions but also pretty nifty gadgets.

I should probably explain that the guy is Marina's ex-husband. She didn't know he was coming and I think their wordless conversation is beautiful.

Free comic book day 2013

Last Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. I have to tell you, apparantly I've been living under a rock. I didn't even know that it existed untill this post from Stephanie. This was Tuesday. So I immediately went searching for more info and found out that it even existed in Belgium (but it's only the third year). I could've slapped myself! I was so mad at myself for missing this haha. But I sent out an email to a comic book store (Worlds Ends Comics) and they said they still had some!

Wednesday, my boyfriend and me went to the store and 'some' was an understatement. They still had tons left! When I sent an email, they put the ones I asked for aside for me which was pretty awesome because the star wars comic wasn't available in the store anymore (too bad for my boyfriend haha). So I still ended up with all of these! I didn't left the store without a small purchase either. I bought the first two trade paperbacks from The Walking Dead. I've already read them both (and the free comic book) and they're awesome. I'm superglad with everything I got. (Plus the store and the people working there were really cool as well.)

These were the ones I was really excited for. Unfortunately I still missed out on some but well, that's my own fault. Definitely not missing it next year haha.

I don't really know these (well some I know by name but that's all) but it's still nice I have them.

What I suppose are comice meant for kids? Same story as above.

Out with the old, in with the new

I gave the blog a little makeover so now we're totally ready for happier weather. I was bored with the old one for a pretty long time already but didn't really have inspiration. Then a couple of weeks ago I made myself a colourscheme but I didn't do anything with it. Yesterday I finally felt inspired and I came up with this. Quite a difference, right? You can see the old one above. Just for the sake of memories.

This was the board I made for myself. All of the elements I use (or will use) are on here. Also, I changed from three columns to one. So the widths have changed as well. From now on pictures will be a little bigger but the old posts will still have smaller ones. I still have some issues though, if you can help me with one of them, please do, I'll be very grateful!
- How do you make your navigation bar as wide as your whole blog?
- How do you delete the search box title? Right now mine is "." because I can't leave it empty.

I'm pretty proud of myself for doing everything on my own (with paint!) haha. What do you think?
