Poppies & grapes

August 07, 2012

As you can probably see, I finally shaved my hair again. Well, my dad did. It was getting way too long and I like it much better this way. It was really funny actually, to stand in the bathroom with my father shaving my head before he shaved his own. It's not what you would expect as father-daughter time, isn't it? Some people are wondering why I've shaved part of my head and while the answer is really simple, I thought I could do a post about it so that will appear later this week or next week.By the way, I posted this today because I'm doing another on Thursday (what to wear to the beach).

Again, I have to thank my boyfriend for these pictures. Even if he was bored and didn't really have the patience to take more than 4 decent pictures haha. But really, he's been extremely supportive of me blogging, he reads all of my posts even if they don't really interest him and he's willing to take all of my outfit pictures. This is actually a really big deal for me so thank you so much, dear Nick. You really are the best boyfriend ever!

This is for sure the shortest dress I own. I bought it in Antwerp at Forever21 but I didn't even try it on because we were kind of in a hurry to catch the train. A medium usually fits me all the time but ofcourse I didn't think about the length. I have this problem a lot since I'm rather tall but most of the time it's still a decent length. If I'm standing up, there's no problem. But I can't kneel or bend over slightly because that would show too much. Needless to say, I felt very exposed and since I don't own any biker shorts, I cut up some old tights haha, they worked fine though!

Dress: Forever21 - Cardigan: vila - Shoes: unknown

I was doubting to post the next photo but this blog is a reflection of myself; the things I like, the outfits I wear, what I'm doing on a daily basis and how I really am. So this next picture is the perfect example of who I am. I'm an extremely silent person, saturday a little boy even asked his dad "Why doesn't she speak?" and I felt very selfconscious. But when I'm around my boyfriend, my parents or other close family and my closest friends, the following thing happens: I become a crazy person (and I talk a lot).

  8. Now, head shaving has got to be good daughter/father time. :)

Can't wait to read your post on why you like to shave your hair that way... I love stories like that. Like when people get tattoos and there is a great story behind their body art. So cool...

  16. Such an adorable outfit! I love the cherry prints! And I'm very interested in the shaving part of your head story! Also, I just feel weird having other people take my photos for me while I try to pose. It would probably be easier for me to ask the DH, but he doesn't take good photos, although he thinks he does! -Jessica L

    1. Well, I don't have a tripod yet so it would be difficult to do it myself for now. Oh and it's not really that interesting hehe, I feel pressured to live up to high expectations :D xo

  17. As a 6' tall lady, I suffer from Shortdressitis daily. My solution is to invest in slips and yoga shorts. My romper-style slip is basically my reason for living.
In other news, your hair looks perf.
