Burgundy crazy

November 08, 2012

This is the third time in a row I'm wearing my favorite colour. I can't help it though, I love this colour. My boyfriend took these pictures last weekend when we were walking his dog, Lex. He did a pretty good job, considering there was a dog pulling him all sides! But he is cute, right?

Talking about pictures, I really want to learn how to take decent pictures but I have no idea where to start, it's al so overwhelming. Do any of you guys have any good book or website recommendations to learn the basics of photography step by step? I would really appreciate it!

While school is superbusy, I'm so happy with where I'm at right now. Things have been going wonderful for months now with my boyfriend, he is so freaking sweet and awesome. And my family is amazing too. And on top of that, I have all kinds of awesome plans for a project. Oh and on top of that I've been enjoying blogging and I've met some of the sweetest people ever. So yes, I'm in a happy place.

Make sure to leave those photography tips!

  2. i'm actually starting posts soon on photography and design tips - first one is going up on the 5th of december :D it depends if you have a DSLR or not - but if you have a point and shoot, i always shoot on Program Auto (P) if your camera has it OR like a no flash or something mode. if my camera has it, i always have macro turned on because it tends to do things i like for images. DSLRs of course have a lot more control.

a lot of it is editing too. :D

anyhow - i quite love that dress. it is a great color - especially on you! and the wood with your dog look so lovely

  3. I am missing using a regular camera for photography! Right now I'm just using our Android phone camera, until we can buy some new batteries. x.x I'll be honest, when I take pictures - no matter what kind of camera I use - I take a BUNCH. From all angles. Than I choose the best! I also use different settings, all in a row, and go with the best that way too. :D

Cute outfit! Burgundy is such a lovely Autumn color. :D

  6. You look so cute. I am finding that I am loving lace dresses more and more. I actually just got one that is bright green that will appear in an outfit post in the future. It looks similar to yours. I use a tripod a lot for my photos and I want to get a remote. I prefer to do the photos alone because I am shy around Cody when he takes them, but he always makes me laugh. I like the natural smile verses the fake cheesy ones. :) You could probably just google "outfit post ideas". If I stumble on any links I will send them your way. Just be yourself. Your photos always look good.

  7. You look so lovely! Those colors are gorgeous and suit you so well :)
So happy that everything is going so well for you, it's a refreshing thing to hear :) I don't know the first thing about photography, I just set up my tripod, take a couple hundred (wish I were exaggerating!) and hope that at least 3 or 4 turn out somewhat decent :/ I need a better camera though, my point and shoot is making everything grainy
