Teal leaves

November 22, 2012

I guess it's obvious it's getting cold outside. I have to admit I get cold really quickly but still. I've had this coat for years and I'm now finally getting back to wearing it. Also, this shirt is (was) actually a jumper. Unfortunately, jumpers are always ridiculously short which I tend to forget sometimes. So my solution was to cut apart the shorts and tuck it in shorts that actually fit. I'll probably ask my grandmother to make an actual shirt out of it, she has magic sewing skills.

Now let's talk about some serious stuff. I've got a problem... I'm afraid I might have an ebay addiction. I don't even know how it's possible that things are so freaking cheap but I picture my eyes with dollar signs in them, like in old animated movies. And so I bid, on multiple things and I hope I win them. I mean, a bracelet for $0.01? Ridiculous. I'm a little bit exagerating though, I've only bought three things so far but I really have to avoid buying more things. I have the same with Etsy but that's not so embarassing because that's all handmade so you support decent craftmanship.

But who doesn't love getting packages? My mother just called me that there are two things waiting for me at home and I always get totally giddy about it. Last week, I got a surprise package full of candy corn from Sarah from Exploring Woods. (Well, it wasn't a total surprise because she needed my adress ofcourse but I didn't know what was in it.) I live in Belgium and I had never seen, let alone tasted candycorn and after she read that in this post, she sended me some! I thought it was so freaking awesome. But, as she expected, I didn't like it haha. It was not so much the taste that I didn't like but the texture, I think it would be awesome if I melted it and put it on a cake or something like that. So thank you again Sarah!

Which leads me to: happy thanksgiving for all my American friends! xo
