What to wear to a family dinner

November 15, 2012

I actually thought this week was about meeting the parents but well, it's kind of the same for me. And yet again, I forgot to take pictures untill it was dark out so I settled for a corner in my parents room. And I settled for the clothes I was wearing today. I really like it though, it's simple yet with a fun print. And guess what, I made it myself! I bought a simple basic tee in H&M, I made a feather stamp out of foam board and I stamped my tee. I got the idea from Sincerely, Kinsey and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I didn't really think I had it in me to make a stamp myself haha.

Cardigan & jeans: Vero Moda | Tee: handstamped tee from H&M | Rings: Swarovski and Disney

Anyway, we are a very casual family so I would totally fit. The only time we dress up a little bit is with the holidays. I already have my dress and tights picked out for Christmas eve, when I'm having dinner with my boyfriend, his parents, his sister and neighbours. And I think I have my dress for New Year's Eve too. And now I'm going to stop writing because I have started almost every sentence with 'and'.

Oh, wait! Don't forget to check out the other ladies.
Gypsy in Jasper ♥ Horses of Ares ♥ abhaya ♥ Like a small fire ♥ not ladylike ♥ exploring woods ♥ thinkin' outloud ♥ Salvaged Strawberry ♥ lala faux bois

(By the way, does anyone have problems with seeing my blog how it's supposed to be? Apparantly, blogger shows me something beautiful and turns it into a monster with 15 white lines between pictures and text? At least that's what my boyfriend says.)

The blog looks great on my computer, but you should always try taking a look at it from other sized screens and laptops(!) the first layout I ever made for my blog took me sooo long, I was finally happy with it...and then I saw it on a laptop :/ it was a total disaster! Your's looks beautiful to me though! xo

  7. Oh look so cute. :) I love hand stamped anything. I think it's such a cool look. This post looks fine, but a few of the others do have large gaps of space between the photos and text. :( Don't know why.
