What to wear on a road trip

December 13, 2012

I know I'm going to get laughed at because I don't look like I'll be spending hours in the car. But one, this was what I was wearing today and two, I'm going to show you why this is the perfect outfit for a roadtrip. (And yes I know these pictures are a bit ridiculous.)

1. You have to wear tights. Really. I don't think there's anything that's more comfortable. Okay maybe sweatpants but you can't take those of when you get too hot or you'll be in your underwear.
2. Shoes that are really easy to take off and to put on (even if they have spikes on it).
3. A cardigan for when you're cold and a jacket for when you have to get out of the car and it's freezing (same for the hat and gloves).
4. Sunglasses. Obviously for the sun. And for safety too because you can't get into a car without sunglasses.

And on top of that, you can still look awesome when you're in a car. By the way, I'm really sorry for this monotonous outfit, I can't help it but almost half of my closet is from H&M and it shows in this outfit, sorry!

Now check out these other awesome ladies. (I bet they're proud that I actually have decent pictures instead of iPhone ones, haha!) Oh by the way, this was the first time I took pictures with my tripod, what do you guys think? I still have to practice though because I really want to be able to shoot in manual mode!

Coat, cardigan, dress, scarf, hat, gloves, tights: H&M | Cross earrings: WE | Stud earrings: C&A | Shoes: ken | Sunglasses: Primark

  1. You did awesome with your tripod. I just started taking my own photos a couple of months ago and I find it difficult, but rewarding, when I get a good one. Keep trying. You'll get to all the fancy settings in no time.

Cute outfit, by the way. I love your jacket and the colour of your tights. xx

I think it's so hard taking pictures of yourself; I always have to take so many to get any worthwhile.

  5. I don't know what you're talking about monotonous, I really love this! I mean, I love anything with a utility jacket, cardigan, and wine colored tights, but still. Definitely something I would wear on a road trip!

  6. Yes x 100! Tights >jeans by far, especially when it comes to road trips.

  7. I didn't think this outfit was monotomous at all, it's super cute and a bit of a diff look for you I think! I love those tights color & you look great in that big cardi and cozy beanie. Really I'm lovin' this whole look, something I try to go for when studying. I need to find some more comfier tights... i think they always just run smaller than the size they say because i love wearing them every day.
